       (v)     Subordinate Local Law No. 3 (Community Environmental Management) 2015;
       (vi)    Subordinate Local Law No. 4 (Local Government Controlled Areas, Facilities and
               Roads) 2015;
       (vii) Subordinate Local Law No. 5 (Parking) 2015.
H.     Authorise the CEO to coordinate the remaining procedural steps required to finalise the
       local law making process in accordance with Council’s adopted process.


REPORT
This report deals with the adoption of proposed Administration and Other Local Laws
(Amendment) Local Law (No.1) 2018 and Administration and Other Subordinate Local Laws
(Amendment) Subordinate Local Law (No.1) 2018 following referral to the State Government
entities for comment and subsequent public consultation.

1.     Background
At the General Committee Meeting of 16 April 2018, Council proposed to make Administration
and Other Local Laws (Amendment) Local Law (No.1) 2018 and Administration and Other
Subordinate Local Laws (Amendment) Subordinate Local Law (No.1) 2018.
Once adopted by Council, the amending local laws will alter Council’s current suite of local laws
as outlined in the table below.

Amendments contained in Administration and Other Local Laws (Amendment ) Local Law (No.1) 2018
   Including definition for ‘accommodation parks’ to include caravan parks, camping grounds and
     complementary accommodation. (Noosa Shire Council Local Law No. 1 (Administration 2015)
   Remove irrelevant prescribed activities. (Noosa Shire Council Local Law No. 1 (Administration 2015)
  Update references to the Planning Act 2016 (Noosa Shire Council Local Law No. 2 (Animal
    Management 2015)
 Include an offence relating to the removal / damage of vegetation on local government land. Noosa
    Shire Council Local Law No. 4 (Local Government Controlled Areas, Facilities and Roads) 2015

   New approval criteria for operation of an ‘accommodation park’. (Noosa Shire Council Subordinate

   New approval criteria for operation of a ‘shared facility accommodation’. (Noosa Shire Council
     Subordinate Local Law No. 1 (Administration) 2015)
   Place a 7 day limit on for sale/lease/sold signs following settlement. (Noosa Shire Council Subordinate
     Local Law No. 1 (Administration) 2015)
   Inclusion of self-approval criteria for installation of election signage on private land. (Noosa Shire
     Council Subordinate Local Law No. 1 (Administration) 2015)
   Nominating that Local Law 1 apply to all state government controlled roads in the Shire. (Noosa Shire
     Council Subordinate Local Law No. 1 (Administration) 2015)
   Include an updated definition for ‘urban area’ aligned to the South East Queensland Regional Plan
