I have only just learned of the above application and wish to lodge a preliminary objection to it's being granted.

This MCU could potentially lead to a major increase in traffic on Lake MacDonald Road and negatively impact what is now a fairly good road surface. An increase in the number of heavy trucks on this road  would also affect safety and traffic congestion at the day care centre near the intersection of Elm Street as well as the nearby Cooroy State School, just down from this intersection, particularly during school pickup and drop off times.

Sorry, that this is a brief and rushed notice, but I have only just learned that the submissions deadline is today and therefore have not had time to prepare a better analysis.
