I strongly disapprove for this property to become a short term rental I have lived in Noosa for 40 years and due to circumstances have been renting for some time and have never experienced the permanent rental to be in a crisis situation,the forms that are now required to be filled in are intimidating and personal. We are in desperate need of permanent affordable rentals, I really don’t know where you expect all the workers to live, the hospitality staff ( who make all your coffee, wait on you in your favourite restaurants) the people who clean and maintain all these expensive empty mansions, the tradies who work relentlessly, all these humans make our community what it is a balance, instead we have greedy investors who don’t live here and contribute nothing to the essence of our community. 
I urge you to read the Weekend Australian Magazine, dated August 22nd. 
Brian Chesky the founder of Airbnb. During Covid 19 lockdown he has realised he has made some Hugh mistakes and is rethinking the structure of the business and particularly how it has destroyed locals livelihood especially Barcelona ( loved to death)
It has seen the greedy (professional landlords ) who let out multiple properties, driving up rent and house prices and encouraging over tourism.  
Also read: Rick Morton: Title. On Money. A small essay book just released but will give you a better understanding of people struggling to live on nothing, you might become a bit more compassionate and show some empathy towards there needs instead of these wealthy just getting greedy who will destroy the essence of our community. 
The only person I can see who is trying to address all this is Sandy Bolton which shows with her win in the last election. 
Our Mayor Claire Stewart needs to become a voice and get these developers to put back instead of take. 
I would appreciate if you pass this on to Sandy Bolton and Claire Stewart. 
PS. New York residents protested against Airbnb in 2016. It destroys communities.
