We have reviewed Noosa Council’s request for information dated 6 January 2022 and provide our response to
the Engineering related items.

Item 6: Traffic
“With regard to item 10b of the information Request, the raised median in Eumundi Noosa Road should extend
6m south of the proposed driveway in order to appropriately inhibit movements to left turns only.”

      Response

      Please refer to our updated Driveway & Access Plan – SCG Drawring No. 31131 – C6.1 Rev A, which
      includes the extension of the raised median on Eumundi-Noosa Rd to be 6m South of the proposed
      Driveway access to inhibit vehicle movements to left turns only.

Item 8: Waste Collection Vehicle (WCV)
“With regard to Item 10d of the Information Request, some elements have not been addressed. The bin area is
located to the rear of the site and the refuse truck has travel through the site to access, which is not ideal for
residents of the site. There has not been demonstration of where a refuse truck can pass a car in the main parking
aisle, having regard for the kerb build outs and first level building overhangs (for a truck moving along the aisle to
the bin area, a car travelling in the other direction needs to be able to pass the truck somewhere). Also, there has
been no assessment or proposed arrangements for how the bins will be operated (240 litre bins at remote
locations of the site, 1100 litre bins at the collection point, and max 60m bin travel by residents).
With regard to Item 10e of the Information Request, the proposal plan still needs further resolution in relation to
details of grades and levels, primarily in relation to how the flat garages will satisfactorily interact with the steeper
parts of the main access driveway, the 1:10 grade at the refuse collection area, and grades of up to 1:6 on the
pedestrian route.”

      Response

      There is ample sight distance for vehicles travelling along the main driveway with numerous queuing areas
      between kerb indents including, maneuvering back into a garage if a WCV is entering the site as another
      option. Regardless we have provided an excerpt view of a car passing (exiting site) an entering WCV. This
      is shown on our revised Driveway and Access plan drawing No. 31131-C7.1 RevA.
