Subject: Proposed development at Peregian Beach

Re M.C.U. 16/0153 and REC 16/0041
215 David Low Way, Peregian Beach
Dear Mr Murphy,
We, Jane Margaret and David Daniel Barry of 73 Mahogany Drive, Marcus Beach wish to strongly object to the DA
for the above site.
NSC must consider the severe negative impact this development would have on the village of Peregian. This area is
not suitable for the proposed high density usage entailing permanent housing, motel ,hotel and conference facilities.
It would cause;
1. More congestion on David Low Way, already a problem since the opening of the IGA supermarket and associated
retail. Rufous Street is also severely affected.
2. Increase the lack of parking in the village and surrounding streets.
3. Impact the "village" feel that makes Peregian Beach such a desirable area.
4. Detract from the natural surroundings and rainforest in the area around the community garden.
5. Obscure the native marshland in Noosa National Park, one of Peregian's most attractive vistas to the west of the
proposed development,by raising the building profile.
