MCU12/0184 Concerns about development approval Julia Walkden
Subject: nzw BCS 1192 MCU12/0208 Notice of Submission Julia Walkden - FYI Mayor From: Julia Walkden Date: 2013-12-07T01:39:38+00:00 To: Internet Mailbox Sunshine Coast Regional Council Response to Applicant’s further information 1. Traffic estimates are overstated, unsubstantiated and lack credibility 2. Proposed roadworks would be ineffectual and inadequate and do not address obvious functionality and safety issues. Note: The SCRC does not have the authority to approve such a huge annual road maintenance expense, to be borne by the new Noosa Council. 3. The additional information contains no satisfactory and credible plan for treating and disposing of the shed litter, and no compliance monitoring plan. 4. The nutrient loss from the litter disposal areas are significantly high, so there will be a significant increase in storm water nutrient levels and groundwater pollution. 5. The applicant cannot reduce the size of his development and remain viable, so the development application for this over-sized, ill-conceived development should be rejected. Please vote to refuse the Chicken Farm development application on 12 December or vote to have the matter deferred to the next appropriate meeting of the new Noosa Council. Most sincerely, Julia Walkden 423 Old Ceylon Road Cooroy QLD 4563 Tel: 5442 6776
