The analysis above indicates that there are future economic development growth opportunities in a
number of industries. It should be noted that while the analysis shows health care and education
and are potential industries for development, these industries are driven by population growth and
therefore Noosa has headwinds for future development of these industries given the slow
population growth in the region in recent years and the slow population growth projected for the
coming decade.
