Bushfire Evacuation Plan v4 NCES REF: J001061 Lot 7 on RP216403, Lot 394 on M371117, and Lot 650 on M37380 — 48-59 Kabi Road, Cootharaba 2. A secondary exit route for emergency evacuation is to be via the fire access trail in the south-east comer of the site which links through to Cootharaba Downs Road and ultimately Louis Bazzo Drive. If instructed by QFES to evacuate the site, the fire warden will confirm with QFES which exit route is to be used and then release guests from the site in a controlled, staged manner so as not to congest the external roads. 7. EVACUATION ROUTES The available evacuation routes to the club house shelter in place location within the site comprise the internal road network. This road network will generally be flanked by low threat manicured lawns and permaculture fields host to negligible fuel loads. A small section of the route about the maintenance sheds comes in close proximity to hazardous vegetation. It is a recommendation of the NCES BHAMP v4 2024 that this section of road is set within a 10m fully cleared corridor comprised of the driveway and 3m fully cleared conditions either side. The risk of the access route to the shelter in place location becoming blocked during a wildfire is considered unlikely and if so would only be very temporary until forest edge burnout occurs. The available evacuation routes within the site to the shelter in place location are identified in Plate 2. Plate 2 — Available evacuation routes to shelter in place building (Source: Plan of Development by Elevation Architecture) The available evacuation routes beyond the site through the local landscape are flanked by a mosaic of fuel laden bushland and scattered cleared to semi cleared rural properties host to low to moderate fuel loads. The risk of entrapment external of the site is therefore real and strategic selection of the most suitable external evacuation route during a bushfire event will be a critical decision. Note, given the extent of cleared land between the shelter in place location and adjacent bushland areas, it is expected that the shelter in place policy will stand for the majority of bushfire events.
