5 SUMMARY AND CONCLUSIONS
Based on the assessment of the network it is concluded that the majority of the road links and intersection arrangements
as proposed will be able to accommodate the anticipated traffic volumes to at least the design year of 2028. The forecast
demand estimates are based on the ultimate development scenario as outlined above.

Based on the analysis the provision of the following items are recommended, generally in accordance with the key items
arising from the previous Material Change of Use application for the site:

 It is recommended that a contribution to the upgrade to sealed pavement for the road section of Lamonts Road
from Elm Street to the eastern site boundary be considered, in accordance with Council design standards and
        guidelines
 The provision of upgrade works to Elm Street (Cooroy Connection Road) / Pearsons Road intersection to
incorporate a Channelised Right Turn (CHR) on a two lane rural road in accordance with Main Roads Technical
Manuals, Policies and relevant Guidelines. The traffic analysis indicates that CHR of up to 10 vehicle storage
lengths (60m) plus tapers is appropriate.
 The provision of upgrade works to the Elm Street (Cooroy Connection Road) / Lamonts Road intersection to
incorporate a Channelised Right Turn (CHR) on a two lane rural road in accordance with Main Roads Technical
        Manuals, Policies and relevant Guidelines

The detailed design of all intersection turn treatments and road treatments are to be undertaken in accordance with the
relevant design standards and guidelines.
