4.0 STORMWATER QUANTITY MANAGEMENT

4.1 Summary

Stormwater quantity management for the proposed development has been assessed in
accordance with the Noosa Shire Council Planning Scheme and the Queensland Urban
Drainage Manual (QUDM 2016).

The post-development condition will generate an increase in impervious area. The key
objective is to ensure that post-development peak discharge rates do not exceed pre-
development levels for all design storm events up to the 1% AEP + CC event, and that
changes to flow distribution do not cause an actionable nuisance on surrounding properties
or infrastructure.

The existing site generally grades from west to north-east. The lot sits at the crest of a broader
regional catchment which also grades to the east. In the developed scenario, the proposal
sees of most of the site runoff directed to LPOD1, with only minor flow discharging to LPOD2.
The catchment plans are shown in Figure 2-2 and Figure 2-3.

 LPOD1: To the southeast, discharging to the adjacent stormwater reserve.
 LPOD2: To the northeast, discharging to Taylor Court.
