                 S ITE AND P ROJECT R EVIEW
                 The proposed project intends to relocate a Fire Hydrant Booster from its current location on
                 the northern entrance to the basement carpark of The Rise Noosa Resort to the southern side
                 in between two mature Weeping Fig Trees. The trees appear to straddle the property boundary
                 and are positioned 3m from the building structure within a garden bed that runs parallel with
                 the Noosa Drive road reserve footpath. The subject trees are the two northern trees of a group
                 of three that were planted approximately 25-30 years ago.

                 The project plans illustrate new below-ground pipework to cross the concrete driveway,
                 emerging on the edge of the garden bed within private property. This excavation work will
                 require the cutting of any roots that obstruct the trenching in this limited location. The pipework
                 is then to continue overground for approximately 5-6m, mounted to the side of the current built
                 structure. At this point, it turns 90 degrees towards the road for approximately 2m, between
                 the two subject trees, to the new Fire Hydrant Booster box. The Fire Hydrant Booster box is
                 proposed to be constructed on a 150mm concrete plinth approximately 1.5m x 2m. It was
                 advised that its construction would only require a shallow-depth levelling excavation with the
                 pad poured to create a platform standing proud of the ground.

                 No trenching between the trees is required to install the pipework.

                 Any excavation works within the garden bed are to be undertaken using a hydro-vac to allow
                 for accurate excavation and to minimise any over-digging. Whilst these works are being
                 undertaken, a Project Arborist is to supervise and cleanly cut and document any roots
                 uncovered. It is expected that only a nominal percentage of roots will require cutting. Weeping
                 Figs, as a species, have a very extensive root system that can tolerate the root pruning that
                 would be required for this project. These works are not expected to cause detrimental harm to
                 the trees' long-term health or suitability for retention.
