6.0 STORMWATER MANAGEMENT
6.1 Legal Point of Discharge
Engineering Drawing C6361/22/P05 attached as Appendix B indicates the Legal Point of
Discharge (LPOD) and existing/proposed stormwater drainage infrastructure for the
development site.
The site is located on a minor ridge and slopes in a north-easterly and southerly direction
at varying grades of 10-20%. Under existing conditions, stormwater runoff is conveyed
towards the northern and southern boundaries as sheet and well-defined channel flow.
Stormwater runoff currently discharges to existing well defined flow paths and existing
stormwater infrastructure located in Reserve Street. The site accepts stormwater runoff
from upstream external catchment to the west and north.
It is proposed to maintain the existing drainage regime and direct development site
stormwater runoff to these existing discharge points via appropriate flow dissipation and
scour protection devices (where required). The existing well defined overland flow paths
and existing stormwater infrastructure located in Reserve Street are considered to
represent the legal points of discharge for the subject site and minor upstream external
catchments based on the following;
- The existing waterways downstream of the site are heavily vegetated. No
discernible adverse impacts will result from proposed development works.
- The existing waterways area are not utilised by downstream property owners for
either rural/agricultural or residential purposes. No nuisance or loss of enjoyment
will result from proposed development works.
