     4. ECOLOGICAL SITE VALUES

4.1 Site Inspection
For the purposes of addressing Council’s IR, a site inspection was completed on 7th February 2019 by
one ecologist (Dr Justin Watson), followed by a further detailed survey over two days and one night
by two ecologists (Dr Justin Watson and Dr Stephen Catchpoole) on 18th and 19th February 2019. Both
ecologists are also are recognised/registered with the State as Suitably Qualified Persons for the
purposes of undertaking threatened flora surveys.

Surveys included transects through the subject land during the days of 18th and 19th and a spotlight
transect on the night of 18th. Surveys for flora were conducted in accordance with the Queensland
guidelines for undertaking threatened flora surveys (note: the Flora Report for the State is prepared
separately to this document). Refer Extract F below for survey tracks.
