I make the following submission:.This is an OBJECTION to the proposed development because:
This Proposal MCU14/0106 is SHAMEFUL.
 It contravenes the original plans - The original approval for this area was for Hi Tech area or “Silicon Valley”  using Fibre Optic Cable, which was to balance the development. What’s wrong with keeping PROMISES when things get difficult? This “HI TECH”, offered a future without heavey environmental impact.
 Noosa already has too much Retail space. We just get more failing businesses with mote empty shops.
 Environmental catastrophe. We don’t need large natural areas cleared just to become hot sweaty, void of trees empty car parks.
Do you really think Tourusts need more shops? Do you really think tourists say “Lets go to Noosa to shop rather than Maroochydore or ???......  because Noosa has better shops”. I think they come here for the opposite, QUIET, BEACHES, TREES, RIVER, WALKS etc
Tourists come here for the natural beauty, and so do the people that live here. Lets not “Kill the Goose That Lays the Golden Egg”. Lets stay different, have that environmental edge.
More retail space is just not sustainable.
There is absolutely NO COMMUNITY benefit. It is exactly the opposite, A HUGE LIABILITY & ENVIROMENTAL DISASTER..
DON’T turn Beautiful NOOSA into a Shocking Shopping Car Park. (Listen to Joanie Mitchell)
