4.6 Assessment of Predictions

Predicted 2024 road traffic noise levels as shown in Table 4.4 and Figure 4.4 meet the TMR external
formal open space criterion of 60 dB(A) LA10(18 hour) free field for approximately 50 % of the
nominated area with the inclusion of the proposed acoustic barrier as presented in Figure 4.2.

Predicted 2024 road traffic noise levels as shown in Table 4.4 and Figure 4.3 exceed the TMR
external facade criterion (used to protect internal building amenity) of 60 dB(A) LA10(18 hour) at
some cabins facades and caravan spaces with the inclusion of the proposed acoustic barrier as
presented in Figure 4.2. Increasing the barrier height to meet the external cabin facade level seems
unnecessary in this instance as the protection of internal noise level goals for cabins may be
