frontal dune’ at Sunshine Beach near the subject site.

2.3.     Survey
Survey of the site and adjoining beach system was undertaken by AJS Surveys and provided by Shaun
Lockyer Architects on the 24th of October 2023. The survey is presented in Appendix C.

The survey has been supplemented with bathymetry survey captured in 2011 as part of the Sunshine Coast
Bathymetric LiDAR (Department of Environment and Science, 2011) to describe the beach profile through
the surf zone to the depth of closure.

2.4.     Dune Toe
A level of 2.3m AHD has been adopted as the toe of the dune based on site observations, analysis of aerial
photography, detailed survey and the current vegetation line (refer Figure 2-2).

The distance from the rear property boundary of the site to the toe of the frontal dune is approximately 70m.

2.5.     Geotechnical Investigations
The geotechnical conditions at the site are being assessed by Tectonic Geotechnical Pty Ltd. The
geotechnical investigation will include the design of the house foundations, including foundation type and
capacity with consideration of potential beach erosion.

The geotechnical report can be provided on request.
