Previous Council Consideration
Ordinary Meeting Minutes, 17 May 2018, Item 5, Page 10
That Council note the report by the Governance Advisor to the Services & Organisation
Committee Meeting dated 8 May 2018 and adopt, pursuant to section 250(2) of the Local
Government Regulation 2012, the updated Councillors’ Expenses Reimbursement Policy
provided at Attachment 1 to the report.
Finance
The minor budget adjustment required will be considered as part of budget review 2, with future
Councillor expense reimbursement budgets to incorporate the WPSS cost for the LDMG chair.
Risks & Opportunities
By having a clear policy in place for Councillors to claim reimbursement of, or for Council to cover
the reasonable costs incurred by Councillors relating to Council business, ensures Councillors
are able to meet the community’s expectations related to performing their duties and associated
representation.
