The Marketplace pavilion buildings are developed at a low-rise scale and density with distinctive low
and high-level landscaped elements. The features of a typical walkway within the internal streetscape
includes integrated lighting and signage, adaptable commercial shopfronts that blend the outdoors
with indoors to deliver permeable spaces with active edges.
Passive and sub-tropical design features allow the walkways to largely be naturally lit, whilst the steel
arbour structure and screening balance the need for sun, shade and to manage inclement weather
elements - see Figure 15 below.
