Appendix 5 - Air quality assessment report
6 Conclusions
Air dispersion modelling of potential air emissions from a proposed service station redevelopment at
52-54 Mary Street, Noosaville. Predicted pollutant concentrations of VOCs and odour have been
compared to the criteria specified in the Environmental Protection (Air) Policy 2008 (EPP Air) and
other relevant air quality goal guidelines. The results of the dispersion modelling indicates
compliance with the relevant air quality and odour criteria at the nearest sensitive receptors,
provided the following measures in place:
⚫ Operating hours of 5 am to 10 pm;
⚫ Stage 1 and 2 vapour recovery;
⚫ 4 m high fuel tank vents at the location identified in Figure 4.5.
From an air quality perspective and provided the above measures in implemented, the site
represents a suitable location for the proposed service station.
