5.3. Public Notification
The application was publicly notified for 15 business days in accordance with the Planning Act
2016. No properly made submissions were received.
6.     CONCLUSION & REASONS FOR DECISION
The nature and use of the proposed car park development is suitable for the subject site and
location. Whilst Education Type 2 School is an inconsistent use in the Industry Zone, the
proposed development will provide additional car parking availability for the existing school and is
an appropriate land use considering the sensitivity of the adjoining school development, located
in close proximity. It is noted the draft planning scheme intends the vacant site to be included and
developed as part of the school.
It is recommended the application be approved subject to reasonable and relevant conditions.
