Subject: Development Application for Nursery Site 37 Gibson Road Noosaville From: Christa Knipp Date: 2011-02-10T09:41:10+00:00 To: Internet Mailbox Sunshine Coast Regional Council Dear Sir I have just been informed of the development application for 37 Gibson Rd. Noosaville. Being a Noosa Resident, I would like to express my thoughts on the rezoning of this particular Corner. Only a few years ago, you approved a simular Development Application in Eumundi Road Noosaville called 'EVERGREEN' . It was a white Elephant, WHY, because we have not got enough People living in Noosa to support such Shopping complexes. I feel sorry for the poor suckers who get there hopes up and get them self's Into deep sh... Is that what our community wants, certainly not. What makes you think, that this new project is going to work. Why do we have to keep on building without a thought for our existing shop owners, they can barely survive in the area. There are numerous empty shops and offices already. Also our surrounding residential properties will suffer a serious loss of amenities through negative impact from noise, vehicle exhaust odours, hooning, rubbish etc. especially late hour trading. It has been demonstrated with other late-night facilities located in the immediate area (Villa Noosa pub, McDonalds), the bulk of custom attracted to this facility is unlikely to come from local residents. Rather, customers will be attracted from outside the Noosa/Noosaville area by the late-night facilities on offer, thus placing an unacceptable burden on those local residents in the form of increased traffic and associated noise. I would sincerely hope, you have an other look at this. From a concerned resident of the area Christa Knipp
