The seismic test results are provided as a subsurface section in the attached Figure 2 (Appendix A) and are
discussed in Section 5.2.

4.4 Geotechnical Laboratory Testing
Geotechnical laboratory testing was performed at a NATA-accredited laboratory and comprised Atterberg
limits (1 of), shrink-swell (1 of) and single-point CBR testing (1 of).
Laboratory test certificates are attached in Appendix C. The classification testing generally confirms the field
soil classifications. Shrink-swell test results are discussed in Section 6.3.1 and CBR results in Section 6.5.
5.0 RESULTS OF INVESTIGATION
5.1 Published Geological Information
Published information 1 indicates that the site is underlain by residual soils and weathered rock of the Late
Triassic to Jurassic age Tiaro Coal Measures (Duckinwilla Group). An extract of the geological map is shown
in Image 2.
The subsurface conditions encountered in the boreholes (described in Section 5.2) generally confirm the
published geology; and are similar to conditions previously encountered in this area.
