Dear Sir,

 

We wish to lodge our objection to the proposal to develop a large, poultry farm at 136 Top Ridge Rd Ridgewood. We consider that such  factory- style animal husbandry businesses are out-dated and offensive practices which should not be condoned whatsoever in Noosa region with its environmental and biosphere ideals. 

 

Additional to this  is the inevitable, unacceptable noise and odours from such an operation in an otherwise pleasant rural environment. Resultant, increased trucking movements along this  narrow and poorly established road system is of further concern to neighbours and other road users and pedestrians as a whole. Council will recall the recent terrible  fatality in Belli Creek Road.

 

The scale of this proposed development is out-of -keeping with the surrounding farmland area and this, together with the proposed location, will ensure a  visible eyesore.

 

We strongly object to this development and ask Council to reject it outright.
