Operational Works – Civil Engineering (Council Ref: OPW24/0103)
Dear Sir/Madam,
Reference is made to our IDAS Development Application for Civil Engineering Operational Works associated with the
above noted development.
We acknowledge receipt of Council’s information request dated 12 August 2024 and provide additional information
requested as follows:
INFORMATION REQUIRED
1. We have modelled the stormwater system to allow for a 20% increase in rainfall intensity by the year 2100 in
accordance with Performance Outcome 2 of The Noosa Plan 2020 – Water Quality and Drainage Code. The detention
requirement has been increased in volume and depth of water accordingly. The revised tank design now has
adequate volume, and the additional 100‐year ARI scenario has been added to the amended SBSMP as a separate
chapter (copy attached).
2. We provide further clarification to stormwater items on JFP Drainage Layout Plan (D02 Rev A) as follows:
a. An amended detention tank detail and section has been provided detailing the inlet connection from structure
1/A – refer to JFP Drawing M3024E D02 attached to this response;
b. The 90o bend has been replaced by two 45o bends to provide better hydraulic performance and ease of
maintenance – refer to JFP Drawing M3024E D02 attached to this response; and
c. Catchment D3 (landscape area) is directed towards drainage structure 3/A via a piped drainage system
constructed as part of the building works – refer building hydraulic drawings for details. Note 5 has been added
to JFP Drawing M3024E D01 for further clarification maintenance – refer to JFP Drawing M3024E D01 attached
to this response.
