MCU14/0028 PM submission Object - Timothy and Deborah Garrod
Subject: MCU14/0028 Notification of submission - Timothy and Deborah Garrod From: Debbie Garrod Date: 2014-06-30T07:23:34+00:00 To: Mailbox Council Mail Timothy and Deborah Garrod 742 Cooroy Belli Creek Rd (404 Lawnville Rd) Black Mountain, Qld, 4563 30 June 2014 Noosa Council, We are writing in regard to the proposed development for animal husbandry Type 1 and 2 - Intensive 1000 free range chickens, at 317 Lawnville Rd, Black Mountain, application no MCU14/0028. We very much object to the proposal of this development. * It may have a lowering of property prices in the area. * The odour pollution would have a negative impact on all the neighbouring properties. * The chickens are to be housed along the top of the ridges, which would be unsightly to neighbouring properties. * The high rating winds along the top ridges would pose a danger to the caravans and housed chickens. * The environmental impact with contaminated water runoff into waterways. * The attraction of dingos, wild dogs and foxes. * The sustainability and extent of the development - applicant could apply to put more and more chickens and housing on their property, affecting all the above points. * Would open the door for other similar applications in the area impacting all the above points even more. If this proposal went ahead, there would be no regard for localism as there are too many residents and property owners that live close to this address which is only 6 minutes from Cooroy township. Sincerely, Timothy and Deborah Garrod
