RECOMMENDATION
That Council note the report by the Manager Revenue Services to the Planning & Organisation
Committee Meeting dated 15 September 2015 providing an overview of the July 2015 Rate Levy.


REPORT
This report provides Council with a summary of the July rate levy.

1.                       Levy Summary

Rate notices were issued on 14 July 2015, with a due date of 14 August 2015. The gross amount
of the levy was $34.61 million, which comprised $31.77 million of Council rates and charges, and
$2.84 million for the State Emergency Management Levy. Between July and January the net
increase in rateable properties was 71, which equates to growth of 0.24%.

New valuations took effect for the 2015/16 financial year. The overall increase in valuations for
the region was 4.85%.
