PM Submission - Edward Payne - MCU15/0069.01
Subject: MCU15/0069.01 1/39 Duke Street From: Sunshine Vista Date: 2021-05-10T00:24:26+00:00 To: Mailbox Council Mail External sender. Be careful with links and attachments. While I do not object to the short term letting of this property, there have already been several instances of large gatherings and late parties at this address. The agents letting this type of property have shown little interest in controlling the numbers of renters or their invitees. When there are big gatherings on the large balcony with loud music, singing and guest clapping, the resident owners in our building who are only meters away are negatively impacted, as are the owners living above the unit, and the owners at 37 Duke Street. Sunshine Beach is renown as a quiet holiday destination for families, and should not become a party location for large numbers of unregulated occupiers who display no regard for the neighbours. No one should have to tolerate this behaviour from accommodation next door to their residence and this behaviour is negatively affecting the amenity of the neighbourhood. I would urge the council to: · Limit the noise levels from the property. · Limit the number of guest to 6 in the 3 bedroom apartment. · Limit number of invitees allowed to attend the property. Regards, Edward Payne 45 Duke Street, Sunshine Beach, QLD [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>
