7.0 State Assessment

7.1 State interests
7.1.1 State Planning Policy

Under the State Planning Policy the site is mapped as being in a Bushfire Hazard Area. This
aspect is generally reflected in the Planning Scheme.

It is noted that the site is not mapped as:

    •      Koala Assessable area
    •      Regulated vegetation.


7.1.2 State-controlled road

Schedule 20 of the Planning Regulation details a transport threshold for a Residential Care Facility
of 50 beds. The application proposes an additional 48 beds and therefore does not require referral
to the State.

The site is also over 450 metres from the mapped State transport corridor and does not require
referral.
