1.4. TENDER CONTRACT
The lowest cost of any tenderer will not necessarily be awarded the project. If the project is to be awarded to
a Tenderer, that Tenderer must first supply fully completed schedules, all required supporting information
and then will be required to enter a formal contract with the Principal/ Client.
During the tender period the Tenderer is encouraged to offer alternative methods and materials to those
specified in this Specification where such alternatives can be shown to either reduce materials costs,
improve quality, reduce construction time and or save money while maintaining quality and design intent.
Provide these alternatives and their specific benefits in a separate letter or spreadsheet to this Specification
for review and discussion during the tender assessment period.
No alternative products are to be substituted for specific products listed in this schedule for the
inclusion of the tender. Any substitutions recommendations are to be listed separately with their
costs, as above.
List inclusions in detail including preliminaries and any other works or costs, and costs allowed for each, that
make up your total price shown for the documented works.
It is the Tenderer's responsibility to calculate all quantities and include all materials necessary to carry out
the works. Provide for all inspections, fees, escorts and permits required by Federal, State and local
authorities in supply, transport and handling of the specified materials. Where quantities are given, they are a
guide only and do not form part of the contract.
Report to the Project Manager and Landscape Architect of the adequacy of the documentation issued and
any discrepancies or shortfalls in information. Failure to report will imply unqualified acceptance and
understanding.
The Contractor is to be fully insured and make all required provision for Workers Compensation. If
requested, proof must be provided to the Project Manager.
At the point of Practical Completion prepare and supply to the Contract Administrator / Project
Manager as installed drawings in "Dwg" CAD and also PDF format for all works. The cost for the
production of these documents are the responsibility of the Contractor.
1.5. SITE CONDITIONS
