Subject: rt BCS 1192 MCU13/0087 Submission Proposed Development by Coles at Noosa Heads Bowls Site
From: sly foulds
Date: 2013-10-09T00:17:57+00:00
To: Internet Mailbox Sunshine Coast Regional Council

To whom it may concern:

I am writing to object to the proposed development by Coles at the Noosa Heads Bowling Club site for the following reasons:-

1. The land has been used for recreation for 42 years and this cannot be replaced.

2. The proposals are in total contradiction to the Noosa Plan zoning as they include commercial and other uses.

3. There is an ageing population in this area and bowling is their primary recreational activity and, as is widely documented, helps to keep them out of nursing homes and hospitals as this is a healthy, outdoor activity. To ignore this fact alone would be quite insensitive and would show a complete disregard of the need of others; not just the residents of Noosa but also the many visitors who regularly visit to play bowls in this area.

4. It would appear that the above proposals are being considered by an out-going council (Sunshine Coast) and, to my way of thinking, this is fundamentally flawed and goes against the grain as the incoming Noosa Council will be taking over in the very near future and this state of affairs cannot be construed as being acceptable.

Regards,

Sylvia Foulds
