Dear Sir/Madam,
I wish to express my concerns regarding the proposed development at 61 Noosa Springs Dve.
1. This is a known koala corridor. There are a number of signs in the area urging motorists to take care as there have been recent sightings of koalas. Increased traffic and land clearing will significantly impact our already threatened local koala population.
2. I have witnessed Glossy Black Cockatoos feeding in the reserve between the proposed development site and Wallum Lne. Glossy Black Cockatoos are another vulnerable species that are about to lose vitally important habitat at Grasstree Crt. This development will put even more pressure on our much loved threatened local population.
3. This development is extremely large and not needed! 112 units is very high density. It will destroy the visual amenity of the area.
4. 3 tennis courts!!!! Why?!! There are already tennis courts at Noosa Springs. We don't need any more. Such a large amount of land would have to be cleared. They should be looking at ways to make the development more sustainable and in keeping with our Noosa Biosphere. Wouldn't it be better to create a beautiful natural bushland space instead? More Glossy Black Cockatoo food trees could be planted to attract these amazing birds.
5. I understand this development was supposed to have been built where the Lakeview apartments are now. This looks like developers are double dipping and being greedy... with no regard for our Noosa environmental values.
6. There is limited parking available in this area.
7. We already have plenty of restaurants and places to drink in Noosa. We don't need any more.

Please reject this application. Noosa's way of life is being threatened. There is too much development going on right now. So many trees are being cut down everywhere. It breaks my heart. Our way of life and our strong environmental ethics are being undermined. We must draw a line and start saying no to these greedy developers! Our wildlife need us to stand up for them.
Thank you for considering my reasons for rejecting this development. I hope you will listen to myself and the many residents who are suffering mental distress over this sudden overdevelopment of our beautiful Noosa.
