3.0 The Proposal
The subject site is 10 Swanbourne Way, Noosaville QLD 4566, (193 SP 129564). The site is located
in the Neighbourhood Centre Zone and has a total area of 2589.36m2.

This application is for a Development Permit - Building Work for an Extensions to Childcare Centre.

The extension consists of two shade sails over existing areas of gross floor area.
The development becomes assessable under the tables of assessment for Building Work within
Noosa Plan 2000.

As seen on the plan below, the shade sails are intended to cover an existing play area within the
Childcare Centre in an attempt to maximise the usability and safety of the existing area of GFA.




Please refer to Appendix A – Code Assessment for a full review of all relevant town planning
benchmarks. It is not considered that there are any applicable Works Codes as the development
merely proposes a shade cover over existing built environment and gross floor area.
