Response To Amended Plans
Attached to the e-mail Response to amended plans - John Cochrane - MCU21/0110.
Plans and drawings: the text below has words only, no drawings.
A lack of sustainability and energy 1. The addition of additional solar
efficiency generation is welcome. However, it
will probably be required in order
to satisfy NCC/BCA requirements.
It does not fully mitigate the poor
room orientation and power and
water consumption requirements of
the resort pool.
The development does not accord 1. I am a part of the community and I
with reasonable community say it does not.
expectations for the site 2. Despite the claims by the
applicant, a hotel can be built on
the TAZ. It is achievable - I can
prove this fact.
3. It is avoidable for a hotel to extend
into the ROSZ. The intrusion by
65% of the hotel floor area is
excessive by any measure.
4. The presence of Parkridge is only
relevant in terms of the impact this
development will have on the
residents’ peaceful enjoyment of
their property.
5. There is no argument that the
collective weight of the planning
scheme would support the
proposal. The suggestion that the
hotel -will have minimal impacts is
an outrageous understatement.
6. The community have expressed
their reasonable expectations by
submission.
Yours sincerely,
