Extract of Register of Interests
Local governments are required to publish an extract of each councillors register of interest on the
local government’s website.
The extract of a councillor's register of interests must be published in accordance with section 295(3)
of the Local Government Regulation 2012 (LGR) and 273 (3) of the City of Brisbane Regulation 2012
(COBR). The extract contains only those interests prescribed in Schedule 5A of the LGR and
Schedule 3A of the COBR and for the period specified in that Schedule.

If the register of interests for a councillor changes, the copy and extract of the register must be
amended to reflect the change as soon as practicable, but no later than 5 business days, after the
change happens.

The registers of interests of councillor advisors, chief executive officers, senior executive employees,
and related persons are maintained by local governments but are not publicly available.
