Good afternoon,

I’d like to submit my concerns about the proposed car wash in Cooroy.

This is not a suitable space for such a development, given the existing traffic and infrastructure issues for the area, as well as the residential and community nature of those blocks.

The railway bridge and intersection is notoriously dangerous and inadequate for current use.

The car wash is promoting itself as suitable for large vehicles, RVs etc. Encouraging more vehicles from the highway to come across the railway bridge to the east side of town is going to put further pressure on this intersection.

Encouraging more of these large vehicles coming the other direction, from Noosa, will increase traffic turning in and out of the car wash on quiet residential streets.

The industrial estate on Holts Rd is a far more reasonable and community-friendly for this development.
