Dear Sir
REVISED ASSESSMENT OF A REPORT CONCERNING THE POTENTIAL
CONTAMINATION OF LAND BY UNEXPLODED ORDNANCE (UXO)
This assessment cancels and replaces that previously issued by the Department of
Environment and Resource Management (DERM) on 06 November 2009.
The following refers to your application:
1. Property Description
Lot 95 on RP137431 AMA Site Identification: 22707
255 David Low Way, PEREGIAN BEACH SUNSHINE COAST REGIONAL COUNCIL
2. Owner/s:
Sunshine Coast Regional Council (Council of the Shire of Noosa)
3. Final Submission Received On: 19 October 2009
4. Studies Undertaken by Applicant or Requested by the Agency
Post Activity Report (Certification), Unexploded Ordnance Search, 255 David Low Way,
Peregian Beach by Milsearch Pty Ltd of 16 October 2009.
5. Site Assessment
Based on the study at 4 above and on previous reports on remedial searching in the area, the
subject lot is assessed by DERM as being unlikely to be affected by UXO. DERM, having
confirmed the intended use of the site and the nature of its development, considers the site to
be suitable for that use.

However, the above study itself did not provide definitive evidence that the site was unaffected
by UXO. Therefore, ALTUM Constructions is advised to continue to notify any contractor
employed on earthworking or other significant soil disturbance associated with the
development of the procedure to be followed should an object suspected of being explosive
ordnance or component thereof be found. This procedure is as follows:
• Do not disturb the object.
• . Take action, where appropriate, to prevent it being disturbed by another person.
• Note its approximate dimensions and general appearance.
• Note the route to its location.
• Advise the Police as soon as possible.
6. Additional Information
Where, at the completion of all earthworking related to development of the lot, the principal
contractor is able to provide to DERM a written, signed statement that no explosive ordnance or
component thereof was located during that earthworking, together with a description of the
extent of earthworks conducted, DERM will arrange for the Area Management Advice (UXO)
to no longer apply to the lot.
Yours sincerely
Ranald Scott
