Finance
This project was completed at a cost of approximately $135,000 and jointly funded by the
Queensland Government’s Department of Infrastructure, Local Government and Planning’s local
government grants and subsidies program. The State Government provided approximately
$62,000 of funding towards this project through this grant program.
Risks & Opportunities
The work completed in this study reduces the risk to Council planning and disaster management
teams by providing an up-to-date model in terms of terrain modelling, hydrology routing and
modelling techniques and computational ability. The new model presents a unified approach both
within the Six Mile Creek catchment and with the Noosa River catchment that can allow easy
application of planning requirements.
