7 CONCLUSIONS & RECOMMENDATIONS
The proposed development area i.e. extensions to the carpark areas on site, can be treated by
a treatment train consisting of the refurbished biobasins, grass swales and a grass buffer which
are capable of removing the gross pollutants, sediment, nutrients and heavy metals.
The new car parking on Lot 7 requires assessment in relation to managing the capped
contaminated material on site against the impacts to flood levels from the proposed filling on
site. Generally, the proposed carpark and access road can be designed to ensure the carpark
levels do not impact flood levels in Cooroy in accordance with Council’s requirements.
