These are shown on Figure 5 below and include variation in paint colour, inclusion of a box
window surround and conversion of a current water pond feature into a planter box. The
applicant also proposes, as part of this application, to engage a builder to lower the main upper
portion of the roof over the master bedroom in order to reduce the non-complying height from
10m to 9m.

2.     SITE DETAILS
2.1. Background
Current Development Status
The applicant engaged an architect to develop design elements to reduce the appearance of
building bulk from the streetscape and neighbouring properties perspectives. The applicant’s
architect has discussed potential changes to the buildings appearance with Council’s officers in
order to derive suitable outcomes for the building. Following these discussions, the applicant
completed a number of cosmetic alterations on the building. The proposed reconstruction of the
roof over the master bedroom has not been completed to date, with the applicant awaiting the
outcome of this application.
Application History
The application dates and details are as follows:
12 December 2008         Building permit for class 1a dwelling and 10b swimming pool approved by
                         private building certifer
2009                     Investigation carried out after completion of the building works revealed a
                         number of contraventions with The Noosa Plan.
5 August 2011            Preliminary Building Approval (PBA) application
20 March 2013            PBA application lapsed due to no response to the request for further
                         information
25 August 2016           RAP application submitted
