Specific Outcomes Probable Solutions Code Response
development the separation distance is
regarded as adequate;
b) Modification of the natural characteristics
of the seasonally inundated area are
minimised through design of proposed
infrastructure. The upgrade includes an
elevated concrete slab (i.e. no batter is
proposed) and the amount of additional
area of upgraded road is reduced as much
as possible (i.e. to just accommodate the
necessary truck turning circle);
c) Development is for an upgrade to an
existing truck access and loading area;
d) Access to the seasonally inundated area
will not be facilitated by the proposed
development (i.e. there will be vertical
separation between the pavement and the
feature);
e) Impacts from pest insects and undesirable
plant species will be minimised and
managed through the implementation of
measures outlined in the Construction
Environmental Management Plan
(Cardno, 2014); and
f) No rehabilitation or replanting is proposed
as part of the proposed development
because the area, while regarded as
regrowth, is not degraded.
The proposed development is located proximate to
a covenant through which there is a narrow
drainage line. Development is set back to the
edge of the covenant area. Where there is minor
crossing over the drainage line, the natural
drainage line will be retained.
Riparian Buffer Area S5.1 No new development occurs on, or partly Complies with S5.1 and S5.6
O5 The biodiversity and ecosystem values of on, premises indicated as Riparian Buffer Area The proposed development is not within or partly
watercourses, drainage lines, wetlands and on Biodiversity Overlay Maps OM1.1 to OM9.1, within land mapped as ‘Riparian Buffer Area’.
