Hi Noosa Council,

Against Car wash MCU22/0201 34 Elm Street, Cooroy.

I am Melissa Boyd from 38 McPauls Rd, Cooroy. I know I have already put a letter in against the Proposed Eco Car wash in Cooroy, but just looking at a lot of the responses on the Proposed Car wash face book page has really made me think more on how much this site is not suitable for this.

It sounds like a lot of caravans, large 4WD vehicles, trailers, trucks and all the in-between vehicles will be lining up to use this. Many people from out of town will be driving into Cooroy town especially, to just use the Car Wash bringing excess traffic and noise to the area on weekends, do these streets really want that extra noise and traffic that is usually taken to Noosa Industrial area to clean their vehicles?
The Your Mates Brewery, was lovely to visit with friends on Sunday just passed , it was great weather and a pleasant afternoon out on the green and having a bite to eat, The thought of a vehicle being washed and the beeping noise and excess spray from the wash going on over the weekend while playing on the green just doesn't seem right.

This is a commercial site, for food, retail and accommodation which is very much needed in Cooroy and I really wouldn't like the main drive into Cooroy town to look like you're driving down Nicklin Way or Wises road Maroochydore.
Please consider the effects this has on residents that live in town Cooroy, the resale on properties close by this noise that belongs in an industrial area out of town. Local traffic to Diamond Lane will be affected, the Saddlery in Cooroy will defiantly be putting up with noise and extra traffic in front of their shop, causing a concern with parking for their customers. Also, another point, When it isn't busy traffic times on Elm Street the actual noise will be worse at the car wash because the rumble of traffic won't cover the spray noise.

As you can see, I am very against this Car Wash on this particular site and I do hope that that Noosa Council can see how upset the people will be who on a daily basis have to drive through this area.

Kind regards,

Melissa Boyd
