Attention: Daniel Epps

Dear Daniel,

Response to Council Information Request – Operational Works

Address: 85 Gympie Street, Tewantin (Lot 51 on SP260161)

Council Reference: OPW26/0055

Reference is made to the Information Request issued by Noosa Shire Council on 19/05/2026.

In accordance with Section 13 of the Development Assessment Rules, this correspondence
responds to Council’s Information Request in full and includes the following supporting
documentation:
    - Attachment 1 – Amended Civil Engineering Plans, prepared by Lyndsay Consulting
    - Attachment 2 – Engineering Response to Information Request, prepared by Lyndsay
         Consulting

Information Request Item 1 - Connection of Downpipes
   Lindsay’s Operational Works Stormwater Plan (22-0416-F22, Rev. E) dated 10 April 2026
details that the existing downpipes will be connected to the new drainage pipe.

It is unclear to Council if these downpipes will connect directly to the new sealed pit or to
   the captive relief line.

Council suggests that the head losses from connecting to the captive relief line wouldn’t
allow flows from the downpipes to discharge to Gympie Street and would discharge via the
level spreader to the downstream property.

kerb and channel’.

Information Request Item 2 – Hydraulic Calculations
No hydraulic calculations have been provided as referenced in Lindsay’s Operational Works
   Stormwater Plan (22-0416-F22, Rev. E) dated 10 April 2026.

   2. Provide hydraulic calculations demonstrating the charged line is functional for the
   entire roof area.

Response
Hydraulic calculations have been provided on the amended Civil Engineering Plans (Sheet F26)
(Attachment 1).

Information Request Item 3 – Level Spreader
Provide comment from a suitably qualified person (RPEQ) ` the level spreader complies
with Section 3.9 of QUDM whereby there is no ultimate nuisance caused to the downstream
   neighbour.

Response
As detailed in the Engineering Response to Information Request (Attachment 2), the Civil
Engineering Plans (Attachment 1) have been amended to alter the slow release of the captive
pipe to empty into a rubble pit. Rubble pit calculations added onto Page F22.
