Reflections
The Phase 2 survey shows a strong and positive response to the Draft Master Plan,
with most respondents supporting the long -term vision and welcoming
improvements that enhance access, comfort, shade, maintenance and learning
opportunities. The feedback als o highlights how deeply the community values the
Noosa Botanic Gardens. People are protective of its tranquillity, natural character
and botanical identity, and want to ensure these defining qualities are preserved.
While respondents are supportive of thou ghtful upgrades, they expressed caution
about over -activation or commercialisation that could compromise the peaceful
feel of the Gardens. Overall, the survey suggests the draft plan is moving in the
right direction, provided the final design remains sensi tive, balanced and respectful
of what the community cherishes most about this special place.
