Figure 1 – Proposed site plan
Site description

General
 The subject site is located at Lakelands Resort, 396 Lake Cooroibah Road, Cooroibah and is described
as Lots 0, 1 and 2 on GTP1928 (see Figure 2). The total area of the site is 40.68 hectares.
 The subject site comprises of 3 lots under a community title which was established as part of the original
approval for holiday cabins within the area and can be described as: -
 Lot 0 is part of the common property and was established to contain joint infrastructure such as
             sheds, access roadways and provide an alignment for services should that be required;
 Lot 2 is the subject site and the lot relevant to the Change application. The area contained two
temporary structures, they being prototypes of the proposed “Glamping” tent structure. this area is
             sparsely vegetated and vacant; and
 Lot 1 is not subject to this change application and is located to the south-east of Lot 0 and Lot 1.
The lot contains 3 structures and an area of vegetation. This Lot backs onto a Council managed
reserve which runs around the shores of Lake Cooroibah
 To the east are vegetated and partly vegetated rural residential allotments, to the west is the Noosa
Lakes Chalet and to the immediate north is an area (lot 10 on MCH5117) which is an area containing
cultural heritage significance and is under the management of the Department of Natural Resources,
Mines and Energy (DNRME). To the north of Lake Cooroibah Road is the southern portion of the Great
        Sandy National Park.
 We note the property to the east has a small area of “disturbed” bushland in its southern portion with the
rest receiving regular maintenance. Furthermore, the property to the west is managed in its northern half
with the southern half containing two vegetation communities with a eucalypt and paperbark open forest
to woodland with a sedgy groundcover.
 The subject site is zoned as Rural Settlement under the Noosa Plan (2016).
