  Project Description
  The Planning Act 2016 requires all Local Governments in Queensland to prepare a new planning scheme every ten years.

  A planning scheme is a significant local government initiative that sets out the long term planning intent for the local
  government area and regulates land use and development. It aims to provide certainty to the community about how the
  local government area will develop in the future and over the life of the planning scheme.

  The current Noosa Plan which came into effect in 2006 is now 11 years old and requires a comprehensive review.

  The new Noosa Plan will set out the future direction for Noosa’s development to 2041.

  Project Aims
      e   Meet statutory obligation of the Planning Act and Ministerial Guidelines and Rules
      e   Encourage the community to take part in the,.new Noosa Plan process
      e  Gain meaningful feedback from the community and stakeholders for input to the final Noosa Plan
      e  Achieve widespread interest in the new Noosa Plan amongst the community
