5.0 MSES - SIGNIFICANT RESIDUAL IMPACT (SRI) ASSESSMENT
The SRI criteria for prescribed activities assessable under the Significant Residual Impact
Guideline (DSDIP, 2014) and Queensland Environmental Offsets Policy Significant Residual
Impact Guideline (DEHP, 2014) are assessed below.
5.1 SRI criteria under the Planning Act
The Significant Residual Impact Guideline (DSDIP, 2014) criteria for impacted regulated
vegetation for the site is detailed in Section 3.1 of the SRI guideline and is assessed for the
site in Table 4.
Under the SRI Guidelines (DSDIP, 2014), Section 3.1 regulated vegetation excludes regrowth
vegetation and has been defined as Category B areas on the regulated vegetation map that
are:
• ‘Endangered’ or ‘of concern’ regional ecosystems (REs); or
• Remnant vegetation within the defined distance of a watercourse identified on
the vegetation management watercourses map; or
• Remnant vegetation that intersects with an area shown as a wetland on the
vegetation management wetlands map; or
• Essential habitat (EH) as identified on the essential habitat map.
