EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The Local Government Regulation 2012 requires Council to adopt or review a number of specified
policies each financial year. These policies (Debt Policy, Investment Policy (previously Investment
of Surplus Funds Policy), Revenue Policy and Procurement Policy) relate to Council's annual budget
and are aimed at ensuring the effective and efficient financial governance of Council, the
organisation. All of the other policies outlined in this report are adopted annually as part of the annual
budget process as a discretionary measure to ensure the policies that support the financial
management of Council remain effective and current.

RECOMMENDATION
That Council note the report by the Financial Services Manager to the Special Meeting dated 30
June 2025 and
A. Adopt the Financial Sustainability Policy, provided as Attachment 1 to the report;
B. Pursuant to section 191 of the Local Government Regulation 2012, adopt for the 2025/26
   financial year, the Investment Policy provided as Attachment 2 to this report;
C. Pursuant to section 192 of the Local Government Regulation 2012, adopt for the 2025/26
   financial year, the Debt Policy, provided as Attachment 3 to this report;
D. Pursuant to section 193 of the Local Government Regulation 2012, adopt for the 2025/26
   financial year, the Revenue Policy, provided as Attachment 4 to this report;
