SPECIAL MEETING 30 JUNE 2025
12. Non-Current Asset Accounting Policy
The Non-Current Asset Accounting Policy provides a framework and guidance to regulate the
identification, recognition and measurement of non-current assets to ensure compliance with the
Local Government Act 2009, Local Government Regulation 2012 and applicable Australian
Accounting Standards. The policy remains current with only minor grammatical and formatting
changes being made.
13. Asset Management Policy
The Asset Management Policy provides a structured and sustainable framework for asset
management. The policy aims to ensure that all Council owned assets are effectively managed to
maximize their service delivery potential, ensure sustainability, and meet the community’s needs.
A detailed review was undertaken in 2024 in line with internal audit review outcomes to better
articulate the organisation's asset management framework, objectives and guiding principles. The
policy remains current with only minor grammatical and formatting changes being made.
