EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Under section 104 of the Local Government Act 2009 (Local Government Act) and sections 169 and
170 of the Local Government Regulation 2012 (Local Government Regulation), Council is required
to adopt, for each financial year, after 31 May before the financial year and before 1 August in the
financial year, a budget and revenue statement.

The Noosa Council 2025/26 Budget document provided as Attachment 1 contains the required
documentation to meet the legislative requirements for the adoption of Council's annual budget.

RECOMMENDATION
MOTION 1
That pursuant to section 104 of the Local Government Act and sections 169 and 170 of the Local
Government Regulation, Council adopts the budget for the financial year ending 30 June 2026
incorporating:
1. Statement of Income and Expenditure
2. Statement of Financial Position
3. Statement of Cash Flow
4. Statement of Changes in Equity
5. Relevant Measures of Financial Sustainability
6. Long Term Financial Forecast
7. 2025/26 Capital Works Program
8. 2025/26 Revenue Statement
As contained in the Noosa Council 2025/26 budget document provided as Attachment 1 to the
Special Meeting report dated 30 June 2025.

MOTION 2
That pursuant to section 81 of the Local Government Regulation, Council adopts the categories into
which rateable land in its local government area is categorised, the description of those categories
and the method by which land is to be identified and included in its appropriate category is as follows:
