Details of Submission I (We), make the following submission: I am a student at Good Shepherd Lutheran College and I oppose the development of the service station next to my school, Good Shepherd Lutheran College. Here are the reasons why we do not WANT or NEED a service station: Most people I know are saying “if the service station is getting built than I am most probably going to move school”. This makes me sad, disappointed and angry. Good Shepherd Lutheran College students and teachers do not deserve to be exposed to a petrol station If this petrol station is sadly getting built, everybody in the school is going to be breathing in bad fumes. The fumes are going to be spread out in the pool and in the air. This could make the students sick, tired and have very bad headaches. I personally absolutely hate the smell of it and I’m sure others don’t like it either. At break times students could run of and buy junk food from the petrol station. It isn’t every day you see a petrol station right next to a school. If I was driving past I would say “ew, who would want to go to that school”. I have been at Good Shepherd Lutheran College since prep and I am in grade 7 now and to think that there is going to maybe be a petrol station next to my second home disgusts me. All I want to say is how could anyone be this selfish and greedy and mean. I would never ever think of doing such a thing to little kids and students because all they are doing is just bringing it against themselves and they are going to get a lot of hate. So maybe they should stop thinking about themselves and money and think about others because money doesn’t buy happiness.
